On July 24, 2023, my husband and I will be climbing to the Roof of Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro, to raise money for Christie Lake Kids (CLK). We are a part of “The Climb for Kids 2023 Team!“. The trek will be an eight-day climb that follows the Lemosho Route to the summit.
The funds that we raise will go to support the incredible programs that are offered by the CLK camp to economically disadvantaged children. The camp’s mission is to provide quality year-round community and camp programs to help develop physical, social and character skills for young kids who otherwise may not have this opportunity. Every year, almost 400 children and youth aged 9 – 15 attend two weeks of summer camp located near Perth.
