BBBSO PRESENTS MOVE FOR MENTORING
We need to keep moving, keep active and keep motivated! Why not MOVE FOR MENTORING?!?! This is a simple and fun way to make a difference in our community! Participants will challenge themselves (and each other) to be active while raising pledges to support young people here in Ottawa. Throughout the month of March you can complete your challenge based on the amount of money you raise.
1. SIGN UP
Register an INDIVIDUAL! It is super simple to sign up for our Move for Mentoring Challenge! Just create your individual fundraising page to get started! Make sure to look under tips and tools for our welcome package! Within the package, you will find more detailed information on how to sign up as well as some fundraising templates and suggestions to get you started.
Register a TEAM! The more, the merrier! Grab a friend or two or ten and all agree to complete the same Move for Mentoring Challenge (please note this is still a solo campaign, and challenges should be done in accordance with social distancing protocol)!
2. SET YOUR GOAL
All you need to do is select your favourite way to stay active or, try out new exercises and follow our guided themed weeks throughout the event! Need some inspiration? Take a look at the Move for Mentoring ideas below. Make sure you tell your supporters what you have chosen as your challenge on your donation page, and if you want to mix it up with us, just make sure you keep your fundraising page updated so your supporters can keep track of what you’re doing to GET MOVIN’.
3. RAISE PLEDGES FOR A GREAT CAUSE
Tell all your friends, family or co-workers about your challenge! They will have 4 whole weeks to contribute.
4. BRAG ABOUT IT!
Post a pic or share a video of your Move for Mentoring journey online by tagging us and using any of the hashtags #MoveforMentoringOttawa
5. DROP AND GIVE ME 100!
Now it is time to Move for Mentoring! All participants and teams will fulfill their Move for Mentoring commitment and show your donors you are true to your word!
Complete a physical challenge each week. Example: $1 raised = 10 minutes walking my dog!

THE HAPPY FEET: I commit to running 1 minute for every $1 I raise for BBBSO!
THE PEDALHEAD: I commit to biking 1km for every $10 I raise for BBBSO!
THE DANCING QUEEN: I commit to having a one-minute dance party for every $1 I raise for BBBSO!
THE STAIRMASTER: I commit to climbing one flight of stairs for every $10 I raise for BBBSO!
THE FLOW PRO: I commit to doing 1 minute of yoga for every $ 1 I raise for BBBS)!
