Hi neighbour,
We’re sending out a slightly shorter version of the newsletter this week, with a few reminders for residents ahead of the long weekend. I’ll be sharing more updates from City Council and City Committees next week.
Reminder: Your waste pick-up day may be changing this week!

As mentioned in previous newsletters, the City started a new curbside collection contract on March 30th. As a result, about half of Ottawa’s residents will see their curbside collection day change this week. Most Bay Ward residents will see their collection day change from Thursday to Friday. The best way to check if your address is impacted is to view your collection calendar online. The City of Ottawa website has accurate collection information. Unfortunately the Circular Materials app is still showing the old schedule- we have asked them to correct this but it has not yet happened.
Please note: There will be no curbside collection tomorrow, Good Friday, April 3, or Easter Monday, April 6. As a result, collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of each week.
For Bay Ward residents whose collection day is changing to Friday, the collection day for this week will be Saturday, April 4th, and for next week it will be Saturday, April 11th.
Richmond Road (Bayshore Drive to Pinecrest Road) Renewal Open House- Tuesday, March 31st
Thank you to everyone who came out to the public information session for the Richmond Road Renewal project on Tuesday, March 31st. It was great to see you in person, and hear residents questions to city staff. If you couldn’t make it, it’s not too late to share your feedback! You can view the presentation slides online, as well as the geometry plan. Review the documents and share your feedback via this online form before April 14th, 2026. More details on the project are also available on the City of Ottawa website.
Wishing you all a wonderful long weekend, Happy Easter, and Chag Sameach to everyone celebrating Passover! 🐣🍯
