A big thank you to all the volunteers and sponsors who helped make Bay Ward Mothers Day Tea a big success!
I also want to thank the following businesses for their generous donation towards our raffle. We have created a photo album to help keep the memories alive. Click here.
Congratulations to the lucky winners!
On May 7th, my office staff organized our first Bay Ward Mothers’ Day Tea at Ron Kolbus Lakeside Gardens in Britannia Park. I want to thank them for the extra long extra hours worked for this event. It was a fabulous turnout of Bay Ward residents who enjoyed the lively music of Robin Averill. What fun it was to dance together!
There were many smiles as we enjoyed a lovely day which included a delightful lunch. We have all been through a tough winter with challenging conditions. Currently, we are mitigating flood risks, delaying our enjoyment of spring. It was time for a break!
Sometimes the best therapy is an opportunity to be with friends and neighbours for a little fun.
This weekend is Mothers’ Day. I hope you can all spend family time with loved ones whether they be mothers or mother-like figures in our lives. This weekend is also when we may see a second peak of flood waters. We hope we will not go beyond the first peak and threaten Bay Ward residents in flood prone areas. Regardless we will keep our positive thoughts and energy going!
