Happy Canada Day!
This year Canada Day will be celebrated very differently from years gone by. Although we will not be out in large crowds we can still celebrate and be proud of what we have accomplished together these past months to control COVID-19 and protect our family, friends, and neighbours. I want to personally thank everyone for their efforts to protect themselves and to protect others. The situation is improving because we have been vigilant. Our country is slowly and carefully opening up again and here in Ottawa we can now enjoy restaurants on patios again. We still wear masks and continue to physical distance but there is an understanding that we still have a way to go until we have a vaccine.
We have a lot to be proud of as a country that values the importance of public health care that has helping us through this pandemic. So, let’s celebrate on July 1, together virtually together!
