Thank you to the residents who have reported their concerns with OC Transpo; I share your frustrations and concerns. Last summer, City staff assured Councillors that the bus service will improve once the LRT is launched, but unfortunately that has not happened yet. On Friday November 1st in the afternoon, a statement from Mayor Watson and Transit Commission Chair Allan Hubley was released. The media release included the following statement:
This morning, we approved $3.5 million in additional spending authority, to ensure that staff have the resources they need to increase the current level of service for our transit users.

The next Transit Commission meeting is on Wednesday, November 6th. I am eager to meet with my Transit Commission colleagues next Wednesday to discuss this new announcement. Bay Ward residents need to have access to public transportation that is consistently reliable, especially before the snow flies.
