As a Design-Build the LRT Stage 2 project unfolds differently than all other typical city projects. Design work and construction activities both advance in tandem and many detailed designs (such as pathways to stations, for example) are not yet completed. The project contractor Kiewit-Eurovia-Vinci (KEV) continues to submit design proposals for all project elements to the City while initial construction gets underway (such as tree removals and geotechnical work). Once design work has advanced, we’ll provide them to stakeholders and the public and much of this information will be on our project website. In other words, we don’t have a map of exactly where cycling and pedestrian infrastructure will be located, as the design engineers haven’t done that work yet.
