How is the tree replacement being managed?
Kiewit-Eurovia-Vinci is responsible for completing all contractual project requirements for tree compensation, and this includes removals, permits, inventories, landscaping plans, and re-plantings. The Project Agreement allows re-plantings to occur towards the end of the project duration. The agreement calls for replacing trees at a ratio of 2 trees planted for every tree removed.
Who is responsible for counting the trees that are cut down and recording that information including the location etc.?
KEV is responsible for maintaining an inventory list of trees removed, and will continue to update this inventory list (if needed) throughout the project duration.
How is that being organized and by whom? Where is that information being stored?
KEV would likely be able to provide some information around this inventory list later this year. However, it is not completed yet as tree removals are ongoing in both the west and east alignment areas.
