As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) crews and equipment will be working overnight on Pinecrest Road, Highway 417, and at the future Pinecrest and Queensview Stations.
WHEN: Overnight work Monday through Saturday will occur periodically from January through April, between the hours of 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
WHAT: New ramp and bridge construction, hauling of excavated materials, installation of fencing and traffic barriers, relocation of utilities and traffic signals. Operation of a generator will be required periodically.
WHY: Overnight work is necessary to minimize impacts to traffic and mobility during off-peak hours.
WHERE: On Pinecrest Road, Pinecrest interchange and along Highway 417.
ANTICIPATED IMPACTS
Motorists travelling through this area may want to plan for a little extra travel time, although significant delays are not anticipated at this time. Nightly ramp closures will be in effect periodically.
