Heavy demolition (the most “noisy and dusty” work) is currently in its final stages. When it’s over, they will be doing ground improvements (driving “geopiers” in the ground”) until the end of October.
Metro: The site will then be handed over to Metro – they will be building their store from October/November until summer 2021.
Rexall+Pinecrest building: Excavation, concrete foundations and backfill are already completed, and they are currently working on erecting the steel structure of that building which is set to be completed in spring 2021.
The demolition of the remaining portion of the mall is currently planned to restart in fall 2021.
Regrading and paving/landscaping are planned for the spring/summer 2022.
