2019 United Nations’ “UNiTE to End Violence against Women and Girls Orange Campaign”.
The Campaign is 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence and begins on November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and ends on December 10th, International Human Rights Day. During this time, buildings throughout the world will be illuminated in orange and we in GRAN feel it is important to have Ottawa’s City Hall lit in orange for the 3rd year in a row. The 2018 event was a great success and was in no small way due to the contributions made by so many of our Councillors from their discretionary budgets. These donations helped with the costs of the community-based endeavour.
