The pandemic is continuing to impact Ottawa’s small businesses, with many barely getting by and others on the brink.
Small businesses are part of the fabric of our community, providing jobs and adding character to the neighbourhoods where we live and work. Without them, our city would be a much different place.
Despite demonstrating incredible resiliency through these unprecedented times, small businesses are hurting and need us more than ever. We can all make a difference by supporting them through the coming holiday season and winter, when many small businesses are expected to face some of their biggest challenges yet.
So please, when you’re shopping this holiday season and over the winter, choose small businesses whenever you can. Please encourage your friends and family to do the same. And don’t forget about local charities, food banks, and arts organizations who also count on our support.
