The Woodroffe North Community Association is sponsoring the annual area cleanup event on Saturday May 4. Clean up areas include the Woodroffe Walk, running from Lockhart Ave, on the east, to the NCC gate west of Pooler Ave. Other areas that need attention include the NCC parklands west of Lockhart at the Algonquin gate, and along the NCC/City fence line.
The main object is to pick up rubbish and clear away any forest products that may present a hazard. Some raking and collecting loose sticks will be part of the job, but massive collection of leaves is no longer encouraged by the City.
Garbage bags will be provided…please bring gloves, rakes and any other tools. Everyone is welcome!
