Preston Street and adjacent roads will experience intermittent closures this weekend as part of Italian Week Ottawa. Residents and visitors travelling in the area can expect increased traffic throughout the festivities.
Preston Street, from Carling Avenue to Laurel Street, will be closed on the following dates and times for the Italian Festival:
- 4 pm on Friday June 17 until 1 am on Saturday, June 18
- 9 am on Saturday, June 18 until 1 am on Sunday, June 19
- 7 am to 9 pm on Sunday, June 19
Additional programming, including the Ferrari Festival, Ferrari Demo Zone, Italian Car Parade and Preston Street Bicycle Races, will result in intermittent short-term road closures on the following streets:
- Carling Avenue from Sherwood Drive to Preston Street
- Preston Street from Pamilla Street to Eccles Street
- Preston Street from Aberdeen Street to Adeline Street
- Aberdeen Street from Preston Street to Rochester Street
- Rochester Street from Aberdeen Street to Adeline Street
- Adeline Street from Preston Street to Rochester Street
- Norman Street from Preston Street to Rochester Street
Parking restrictions will be in place throughout the festivities. Please refer to on-street signage.
