The National Capital Commission (NCC) will be working to remove invasive species along the Watts Creek Pathway between Holly Acres Road and Moodie Drive. Some hazardous trees will also be removed. Following the removal of the invasive species, we will be replanting the area with trees and shrubs later in 2019.
The work will be undertaken from March 5 to 22, 2019, between 7 am and 5 pm, weather permitting. The trail will be closed to the public for the duration of the work period. Signage will indicate that work is being carried out, and detours will be in place to safely direct pathway users to another pathway. Please plan your trip accordingly.
Workers will be using mechanical equipment to remove the trees and the invasive species from the site. Tree planting is planned for spring 2019. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the NCC’s client services at 613-239-5000 or info@ncc-ccn.ca.
