I’m pleased to share important information concerning next week’s International Womxn’s Week programming. Invest Ottawa, with the support of their Female Founders and Womxn-Owned Business Subcommittee and community members across the capital, have expended significant effort in building a remarkable week for our region. Our community goal is to elevate and empower Womxn leaders as a community – we encourage you to join us for International Womxn’s Week in the Capital:
- On March 8, 2020, the world will celebrate and further catalyze the economic, social, cultural and political achievements of womxn on International Womxn’s Day. In Canada’s Capital, Invest Ottawa is coming together with 65 partners across our community (including the City of Ottawa), and joining forces with womxn and men across our region, throughout Canada and around the world, to create an entire week dedicated to these important goals: International Womxn’s Week (IWW).
- Together, we aim to establish Ottawa as an internationally recognized region with a critical mass of top womxn leaders who achieve significant impact on our economy and society. From March 2 to 9, 2020, we will unite to inspire, empower and equip womxn in leadership in professional fields that span tech, entrepreneurship, investment, industry, government, academia, research and innovation, and non-profits. We are harnessing the power of our community to create a critical mass of support, and establish a strong foundation of long-term collaboration in support of these goals.
