The Infrastructure Services Branch has undertaken the Pipe Repairs 2019 project (CP000363). The following is some specific information regarding the repairs that are located in Bay ward that are in the following three locations.
- Mosgrove Ave between Bellfield St and Pulford Cr
- Pathway between Knightsbridge Rd and Honeywell Ave
- Edgeworth Ave between Lawn Ave and Carling Ave
The repairs consist of replacing a 2 metre section of 200mm diameter sanitary sewer on Mosgrove, a 5 metre section of 300mm diameter storm sewer along the pathway, and a 9 metre section of 250mm diameter sanitary sewer on Edgeworth. The repairs will likely take about one week per location followed by the trench reinstatement. The road sections will be closed to all but local traffic during the construction period, and the pathway will be closed as well with pedestrians and cyclists detoured.
The project, which includes repairs at 16 locations, is currently at detailed design stage with the tender planned for early August and fall construction. Once a contractor has been selected and there is a more detailed schedule sent to us by the city, this information will be shared on the bulletin.
