As of March 1, 2024, the Ontario Electricity Support Program’s annual income eligibility thresholds increased. This means that applications assessed on or after March 1 may be eligible for higher credit amounts. If a resident is a current OESP recipient, and believes they may qualify for a higher credit, they must reapply.
Whether you are a low-income customer or facing a financial emergency, the following programs can help you manage your energy bills, while offering you a little peace of mind so you can focus on what matters most to you.
The income eligibility thresholds for LEAP and OESP have recently been increased by up to 35 per cent, which will enable additional families to benefit from the programs’ on-bill credits, making electricity more affordable.
