Herzberg Road is scheduled to be closed between Legget Drive and Carling Avenue, starting July 3th, 2020 at 6:00PM to Monday July 6th 2020 at 7AM.
This closure is being set up in order to facilitate the installation of a new Trunk Sewer and road excavation, as part of the North Kanata Trunk Sewer project.
Noise Exemption
A noise exemption has been granted to Louis W Bray Construction on behalf of the City of Ottawa -PIED for construction noise associated with construction equipment.
Source of Noise: Construction noise (i.e. 670 shovel, front end loader, diesel plate packer, jumping jack packer, 320 shovel, 54’ ride-on rollers, generator, trucks, tri axle and other small equipment).
Where: Herzberg Road from Legget Drive to Carling Avenue
When: Friday, July 3rd to Monday, July 6th, 2020 from 22:00 to 07:00
OR Friday, July 10th to Monday, July 13th, 2020 from 22:00 to 07:00 (Contigency dates – as this construction activity is weather dependent)
Rationale for exemption: The Applicant stated that the work needs to be performed overnight as to minimize traffic disruption and potential safety hazards to the public and staff by working at the time where traffic and pedestrian congestion is greatly reduced.
