The City of Ottawa is an historic city known for its remarkable buildings and vibrant streetscapes. A city-wide study of properties of cultural heritage value began in 2015 as part of the Heritage Inventory Project. This study is now complete. Over 2500 properties across Ottawa were identified for their cultural heritage value. The City of Ottawa intends to add properties to the municipal Heritage Register as non-designated listings. The Heritage Register is the City of Ottawa’s official list of properties of cultural heritage value or interest.
Owners of these residences have been sent a letter informing them that their residence has been added to the registry.
