Solid Waste Services is running a contest encouraging residents who receive curbside garbage collection to subscribe for reminders at Ottawa.ca/Collectioncalendar.
Subscribers will have a chance to win a one-year all-inclusive individual fitness membership or a six-month household membership at City facilities.

Our curbside reminders are an efficient way to remind residents of their garbage and recycling collection schedule while including educational waste reduction and diversion tips. Currently 179,548 curbside households have signed up for reminders and our goal with this contest is to get more subscribers.
Residents can receive curbside collection reminders and alerts by e-mail or phone call by signing up at Ottawa.ca/Collectioncalendar. Residents may also download the free Ottawa Collection Calendar mobile app for Apple and Android devices and enable notifications.
