Councillor for Alta Vista Marty Carr, in collaboration with Riverside South – Findlay Creek Councillor Steve Desroches, will be hosting their first annual Thrift Roadshow Event at City Hall. This event will be taking place on Friday October 20, 2023, at Ottawa City Hall in Jean Pigott Hall (110 Laurier Avenue West, first floor). The event will run from 10a.m. to 12p.m. with a fashion show featuring thrifted pieces taking place at 11a.m. There will be booths set up of thrift stores from around the city for attendees to stop by and visit to learn more about thrift shopping and simple ways in which we can continue to help the environment. The City’s Public Works department will also be present promoting Circular Economy Month. Entry is free and everyone is welcome!
