This notice is to advise that construction in your neighbourhood will be starting in early June 2020. This work is being conducted to demolish a detached garage that is part of the Fairfield home museum owned by the City.
What: The City will proceed with demolishing a detached garage at the Fairfield home and its location will be reinstated with new landscaping including topsoil and grass. No further structures will be erected on this area. The garage has no historical designation and there will be no impacts to the Fairfield House.
Why: The garage is no longer structurally sound and presents a safety concern for the community.
When: Construction will begin in early June and is expected to be completed within a few days.
Where: Detached garage at the Fairfield home located at 3080 Richmond Road.
Who: The City of Ottawa has retained the Contractor, Honey Construction, to complete the work.
