Volunteer Appreciation & Welcome to Fall event

As summer winds down and we prepare to welcome a new season, Councillor Theresa Kavanagh would like to extend an invitation to residents in the Bay Ward community to attend the Volunteer Appreciation and Welcome to Fall Event on Tuesday September 24 at the Ron Kolbus Lakeside Centre from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

This year we will not have individual nominations but rather an open house where we will be recognizing and celebrating everyone who has contributed their time as a volunteer to make Bay Ward a great place to live, work and play.  Volunteers are integral to our community, often working humbly behind the scenes without seeking direct recognition. This event aims to create an inclusive atmosphere where everyone—volunteers, community members, and supporters—can come together to celebrate the collective spirit of our community.  Everyone is welcome, from those who help their neighbours or volunteer in a school to the crews that keep our ice rinks and winter trails in shape.  If you are the beneficiary of volunteer efforts in our community this is an opportunity to say thank you to those who have contributed their time.
