Possible Connaught Park LRT Night Work

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, crews and equipment will be working overnight in Connaught Park along the Transitway for the deck work on the rail flyover bridge.
WHAT: Construction related noise and activity from the operation of a drill rig, crane, concrete trucks, generator, and other miscellaneous equipment. Site access will be from the Transitway.
WHEN: August 10th through 11th and three additional nights of work are required between August 10 and September 30, 2021.
WHY: This work requires a full closure of the Transitway, and OC Transpo can only accommodate that request overnight.
WHERE: In Connaught Park along the Transitway.
ANTICIPATED IMPACTS
Residents nearby may experience noise and vibration from crews and equipment. Noise and vibrations are monitored and reported to the City.
Machinery and equipment required after 10:00 p.m. for this work are not expected to generate loud noise or vibrations. All trucks are equipped with white noise broadband back-up alarms.
Night work requires lighting for workers to operate safely, lights will be positioned to ensure no spillage into neighbouring homes.
Workers are reminded to be courteous of the adjacent residents and not yell, talk loudly, or play music overnight.
