Our office received news this week from the LRT Stage 2 Team.
The contractor has informed the City that they have updated their design of the Lincoln Fields bus loop and the English Oaks (the trees inside the red section above) are required to be removed. Unfortunately, the bus loop is in conflict with the Oak trees.
They have asked that we pass on their apologies for this change, after previously stating that the trees would be saved. Currently, the removals are scheduled to begin as early as January 20, 2020.
