Earth Day is a good time to look at the City’s Climate Ready Ottawa, the Draft Climate Resiliency Strategy. Residents are encouraged to visit the public engagement page, complete the survey or come to an open house. Finally, the Climate Change team, along with the City’s Solid Waste Team, will be supporting a Repair Café taking place on Earth Day at City Hall, led by the Ottawa Tool Library.
Earth Day is also an opportunity to celebrate the planet through collective and individual action. Canadians are invited to join the campaign at earthday.ca/betterplanet. Everyone can find the action that suits them, whether by joining an activity in their neighbourhood or making a donation to an organization that works for the planet.
