In November 2019, the Province of Ontario launched a new government-funded program. The new Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program covers check-ups, emergency care and dentures.
You can apply for the program if you:
- Are 65 years or older
- Are a resident of Ontario
- Have an annual net income of $19,300 or less for a single senior, or
- Have a combined annual net income of $32,300 or less for a couple, and
- Have no other form of dental benefits.
Dental services are provided through public heath units and community health centres.

Seniors who don’t qualify for this new provincial program can apply to the City’s Essential Health and Social Supports program.
