On December 11, City Council approved the Transportation Committee portion of the draft budget which would see the winter operations budget increased by $5.6 million over the previous year, for a total budget of $78.3 million. This increase would help the City continue to meet Council-approved winter maintenance quality standards for roads, sidewalks and pathways. It also includes $250,000 to review those standards, with recommendations coming to the Committee and Council in 2021.
