The flags at all City of Ottawa facilities will be lowered to half-mast from sunrise to sunset on Sunday, September 10 to commemorate Firefighters’ National Memorial Day. This day is observed to honour the courageous and committed firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty.
The members of the fire department risk their lives and endure intense training in order for us to feel protected. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our Ottawa Fire Services team for their continued dedication and support in keeping our residents safe and responding to emergency situations.
