Contractors are ready to begin construction for the Carling and Edgeworth reconstruction.
The contractor is currently scheduled to begin works on Monday September 23, 2024 with a tentative completion date of mid December 2024.
Due to scheduling difficulties, notices to residents of the revised start date will only be delivered towards the end of the week.
Traffic Impacts will include lane reductions during off peak hours (9 am – 3 pm) along Carling Avenue, as well as lane reductions along Edgeworth Avenue. The appropriate flagging personnel / police assistance will be provided.

This project will consist of curb extensions on the southwest, southeast and northwest corners, realignment of pedestrian crosswalks, an upgraded westbound bus stop, modifications to concrete curbs, medians and sidewalks with general upgrades to meet AODA standards. In addition, the project will involve extensions of the existing west bound and eastbound left turn lanes, along with the removal of the eastbound right turn lane along Carling.
This project has been greatly anticipated and will be a very welcome improvement to the current design. I am very happy to see this finally coming to construction.
