The Britannia Winter Trail (BWT) is a community led initiative run by a group of dedicated volunteers. It offers close to 17 km of groomed trail for everyone to enjoy during the winter season whether you cross-country ski, winter bike, snowshoe, or just want a beautiful place to go for a walk. The fact that it is run by volunteers adds to its charm, highlighting the community spirit and dedication to maintaining such a valuable outdoor space.
Financial support is crucial for the continued success and maintenance of the Trail. There are expenses associated with grooming equipment, trail maintenance, signage, and other operational costs. Donations from community members play a vital role in ensuring that the trail remains accessible, well-kept, and enjoyable for everyone. This is why my office has been a proud supporter since its inception in 2019.
Supporting the BWT is a great way to make a positive impact on your community and help sustain this valuable resource for current and future generations. It’s an investment in the quality of life for the community, providing a space for outdoor recreation and bringing people together. Whether through direct donations, sponsorship, or volunteering your time and skills, your support can make a significant difference in helping to maintain this Bay Ward gem.
