Residents may have noticed some construction activity occurring in the parking lot serving Britannia Park and beach area. This parking lot is well used all year long and as such there were several spots that needed some attention. I am thankful to staff for working with my office to have these deficiencies addressed before the winter season. Contractors are on site making repairs to the lot and should be done by Saturday November 4.
This work consisted of asphalt cut outs in the worst areas with hot asphalt resurfacing. The repairs should last throughout the winter and into next season. Staff are actively planning the replacement of the entire parking lot in the next 1 to 3 years.
