Nepean Sailing Club and Britannia Yacht Club will host the 17th Annual 2024 Bring on the Bay Charity Swim this Saturday, July 13th starting at 8:00am in support of Easter Seals. We anticipate 800+ swimmers leaving the east dinghy docks of Nepean Sailing Club starting @8am sharp for their 3000m swim across the bay to Britannia Yacht Club. At 8:45am, about 200 swimmers will leave Surfers Beach at Britannia Park on their 1500m swim to BYC. There will be 36 plus anchored boats/safety islands, one every 100m, along the 3000m and 1500m routes across the Ottawa River and into BYC plus 50+ kayaks, SUPs, canoes & powerboats & lots of volunteers and spectators.
The best vantage points for the 3000m start is from the Lighthouse at Dick Bell Park before 8:00am and for the 1500m swim, from Surfers Beach at Britannia Park before 8:45am. All spectators are welcome. If you want to see a preview, here is a link to a drone video of last year’s swim
