For more than 40 years, Margaret Knight has been running the free breakfast program at the Foster Farm Community Centre. Sadly, she has to step down for health reasons and is no longer able to continue this very important and appreciated program. Hundreds of community children benefit from a healthy breakfast every day.
The community centre is looking for new volunteers to keep the program going. If you are interested in offering your time and learning more, please contact Brent McQueen (firstname.lastname@example.org)
More about Margaret Knight
Margaret’s generosity didn’t stop when she left Foster Farm. She’s been an enthusiastic volunteer at the Britannia Woods, Morrison Gardens and Starwood nursing homes, and St. Vincent’s Hospital. She assists physically challenged members of the community to get to church on Sundays; she prepared Christmas hampers; and on Fridays she delivered Meals on Wheels.
