Currently there is a sidewalk on the north side of transitway between Bayshore Station and Holly Acres Drive. The project contract calls for a multi-use pathway from Woodridge Crescent (near the at-grade entrance to the future Bayshore LRT Station, outside of the fare-paid zone) to Holly Acres Drive, along the existing route. The map, shown above, is the current sidewalk and the map below, is the estimated location of the future path. Pedestrians would then be able to cross Holly Acres at the intersection and continue to neighbourhoods further south, as they do today.
In the coming years as station and connectivity work advances, the LRT Stage 2 Team will be sharing information via the project website Ottawa.ca/Stage2 as well as via their e-newsletter once construction is fully underway.
