The West Carleton Country Knitters (WCCK) group invite new members to join. The groups knit and crochet for local charities using donated yarn. They can supply yarn and needles and participants are welcome to choose their own work. They meet in members’ homes on alternate Monday afternoons. For more information please visit WCCknitters.
The WCCK is always looking for donations of yarn to provide to their members, so that there are no barriers to participation, giving everyone the opportunity to create special items for those in need. If you have some extra yarn that you would like to give to the group, please visit here. All donations are greatly appreciated and will provide warmth and comfort to those in need. The group welcome new members to join them in person at their bi-weekly meetings on Mondays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. from September to June each year. Meetings are held at members’ homes, strictly on a volunteer basis. Carpooling in the Richmond Road, Pinecrest, Carling and Bayshore areas may be available. Most meetings are held in this area. WCCK also welcome new members as Home Knitters for those outside the area or not able to join in person. They provide yarn for their members use in creating warm garments to donate to charities.
