We are so fortunate in Bay Ward to have access to groomed winter trails. These are run by volunteers and we ask that users respect the winter trails by following a few etiquette rules. Enjoy the winter!
- It’s a multi-use trail, so skiing, snowshoeing, fat biking and walking are all acceptable, but please avoid damaging the classic ski tracks by walking in them or letting your dog walk in them.
- Please respect other users by passing in a safe manner, but also by not having your group spread wide on the trail
- Dogs are allowed on the NCC Trails, but only on a leash – and please, please stoop and scoop. Brown wax is the worst wax.
The public trail does not go into Wesley Clover Parks, either the campground or the equestrian facility. Those trails are on private property, and are for Kanata Nordic members or day pass ($) users. Those trails are ski-only trails, and WCP/Kanata Nordic would appreciate it if people would avoid fat biking and walking on the ski trails. Please respect this request as the community multi-use trails are being groomed by Kanata Nordic volunteers as a service to the public.
