On Wednesday, I was honoured and thrilled to welcome Bay Ward resident, Jalisa Bernadin, a grade 12 student at École secondaire publique De La Salle and her mom Rennatha Bernadin to City Hall for our National Anthem. I was first introduced to Jalisa during Black History Month a celebration at the Seventh-day Adventist Church organized by Pastor Greaves.
Jalisa shared with me, she first performed at City Hall with her grade 3 choir. She has been working with the same director for the last 10 years! When I first heard Jalisa perform, she blew my mind! You can hear for yourself at the link below. Thank you Jalisa!
