Harbour Harvest Charity Ice Fishing Derby
The 8th annual Harbour Harvest is happening down the street at the Nepean Sailing Club on February 16th, 2025.
Everyone is welcome to come Ice fishing on the Sunday of the family day weekend. The Harbour Harvest brings together over 500 participants and supports local charities. There is enough equipment for over 350 people or you can bring your own. Over the years, this event has provided over 1000 people from low income and newcomer/refugee families a rare opportunity to try the quintessential Canadian activity/sport of ice fishing! Come join in the excitement whether you have ever been fishing or not. No fishing licence is needed and everything you need is supplied.
The event is made possible with the support of over 40 volunteers and community partners and remains sustainable thanks to sponsors such as Crystal Beach Dental and Theresa Kavanaghs’ office. Come check out the amazing Ice Safety and Rescue demos provided by Boreal River Rescue. Everyone fin Bayward and beyond are invited to come enjoy the day and try their luck for over $2000 in cash and prizes. Come learn about responsibly fishing and the species and sensitivities of the river from the Ottawa River Keeper, get some free Tim Hortons hot chocolate and coffee, and make memories with your family.

Valentine’s Day Big Band Dance 2025
Our Winter Big Band Dance of 2025 will be taking place this February 13th at the Ron Kolbus Lakeside Centre!
Tickets can be purchased online, in-person at Ron Kolbus as well as any City of Ottawa Recreation Complex (please quote activity 110915).

The Winter Festival is back February 8th, 1-4pm.
Thanks to our wonderful sponsors, we will have food from Biagio’s Kitchen + Catering Theresa Kavanagh Bay Ward donated money to buy donuts and hot chocolate and The Beachconers is donating cookies.
Everything is Free!
Depending on weather, the rink will be open and sledding on the hill.
