Staff have been going through the tender process and have awarded the contract for replacement of the play equipment in Barwell Park, 921 Alenmede Crescent, in the Fairfield Heights neighbourhood. Tenders have been coming in higher, therefore staff needed to adjust the funding accordingly with Asset Management. As a result the timeframe for completion was extended. We are asking for the demolition, rough grading and granular to be done this fall and the equipment installation and paving in the spring of 2020. We anticipate re-opening the park before school ends in June.
The contractor anticipates mobilization and removals at Barwell Park to start the week of October 26, 2019. As always, this is weather dependent.
