Please be advised that the Britannia Water Purification Plant (2731 Cassels Street) will have siteworks improvements completed in the Summer of 2024. These improvements are limited to the roadway leading towards the front of the building as well as the front parking area. There will be no impact to the greenspace adjacent to Mud Lake or Cassels Street itself. Project area limits will be clearly identified.

Traffic Management
Traffic Control Plans will be put in place when the western entrance to the Water Plant is under construction. The roadway leading to the north end of the property and boat launch will always remain open.
Construction Disruptions
The contractor will take every precaution to minimize disturbance of the area and its surroundings.
Signage and project area delineation with be present.
Wildlife Protection
The City and contractor have taken all precautions to ensure that mitigation efforts are in place to
help control the presence of any turtles in the contract area limits. The entire perimeter of 2731
Cassels will be surrounded by temporary exclusion fencing. This fencing will be inspected daily,
employees on site will have the proper Species at Risk training to help identify any turtle activities in
the project limits, and contingency plans are in place to relocate any species that accidentally enter
the work area.
