The Small Culvert Replacement project consist of replacement/rehabilitation culverts in the west end of the city that are in poor condition or nearing the end of their service life.
Specifically in Bay Ward, the city will be replacing the culvert which crosses Moodie Drive, 50m west of Carling Avenue. The location of this culvert is identified above. They have been working closely with their colleagues from Traffic Signals and Traffic Management to minimize the impacts on the road as well as at the signalized intersection of Carling/Moodie.
Through the city’s review they have determined that the replacement of this culvert can be completed in two separate phases over a two week period next summer. The phasing of this work will ensure that at all times of the construction pedestrian and cycling access will be maintained as well as a lane of traffic in each direction on Moodie Drive.
